How fast can you deliver?

What does it cost?
The same price from 1m up to 40m. The only variables are how long you hire and whether you need a gate. Show us a genuine written quote and we will beat it by 5%.
Do you install it?

Temporary pool fencing and gates.
What type of temporary pool fencing do you hire?
Purposefully designed and engineered welded aluminium panels. They are strong but light enough for one person to move, and built to the Australian standard. The bases are galvanised steel and sit flat to the ground so they are not a tripping hazard, and are strong and sturdy to keep the panels securely grounded.
Why do I need a temporary fence?
By law, as soon as you start the dig for your pool you must have an appropriate safety barrier, such as a temporary fence, around the hole. Once the pool holds more than 300mm of water, the fence must also have a self closing gate and a CPR sign fixed to it. These laws are there to prevent injury and death from falls into the hole and from drowning.
Do I need a gate?
You must have a self closing gate once the pool holds more than 300mm of water. You can also add a gate any time for easy access while the build is underway.
Do I need temporary fencing around an above ground pool?
Yes. An above ground pool still needs a compliant barrier. If the pool wall is at least 1.2m high with no climbable points within 0.9m, the wall can form part of the barrier, but in our 20 plus years we have almost never seen a pool that meets this on its own, so in most cases you still need a temporary fence. How much fencing do I need?
When the hole is dug it is larger than the finished pool, so allow about one extra metre per side. On a typical pool that is around 30 lineal metres, and our flat rate covers up to 40.
What if the fence cannot be made compliant?
Very rarely can we not get a compliant fence around a pool. Sometimes obstacles like wheelbarrows, materials or an excavator need to be moved, and sometimes a tree or shrub needs a light prune. Our team works around these. The fence might look a little unusual but it will be compliant. If a job needs an unusual amount of time or extra staff there may be a small charge, but this is extremely rare and we will always tell you upfront.
Council has asked me to install a temporary fence, what now?
Once a complaint comes in, a council officer can inspect and give you as little as 24 hours to make the pool safe. Call us and we will get compliant panels on site quickly.
What areas do you cover?
We will go pretty much anywhere in Southeast Queensland and Northern New South Wales. If you are between the Sunshine Coast in the north, Toowoomba in the west and Ballina in the south, we deliver next day guaranteed with no extra delivery cost. Further out we still deliver next day guaranteed, but a small delivery fee may apply and we will tell you upfront.

Hire and terms.
Do I have to sign a contract?
No signature needed. Before delivery you are sent an invoice with the hire agreement attached, and paying the invoice accepts the agreement. It is a standard equipment hire agreement. Your hire starts the day we install and runs to the end date on your quote.
What happens if I need it longer?
Not a problem, it happens more often than not. About a week before your hire ends we send a renewal invoice for a one month extension. Pay it and it continues month to month until you no longer need it. If you do not need a full month, our minimum extension is one week.
What if some of the fence is missing when you pick it up?
Small items like the odd clamp go missing and we do not worry about those. If a gate or a whole panel is missing, we will have a quick chat.
What if some of the fence is damaged?
It depends how bad it is. Normal day to day wear is expected and we do not worry about it. If a panel is snapped or badly damaged we will have a chat, and these things are nearly always covered by insurance.
Our pool fence was damaged in a storm, what do we do?
The pool still has to be fenced, storm or not, and that responsibility sits with the owner. We deal with insurers across the region and can run emergency deliveries outside normal hours.

Pool platforms.
What is a pool platform made of?
Our platforms are built from LVL bearers and joists. On concrete pools we use props for extra support. On fibreglass pools we use thicker LVL and no props, so the shell is never damaged. The top is sheeted in F17 form ply or Colorbond. Do not settle for inferior designs that buckle, bend and bow.
What size pool can you cover?
For fibreglass pools we can cover up to about 4.5m across, limited by transport. For concrete pools there is really nothing too big.
Does my pool need a fence or a platform?
Concrete pools usually use a fence during the dig, then a platform. Fibreglass pools often need both. Give us a call and we will sort out which.
How long do the platforms last?
A platform will typically last 12 months easily before any warping or splitting of the ply. That is why we favour Colorbond, and unlike some suppliers we give you the choice of Colorbond or ply.
How long does it take to install?
Anywhere from one hour to a few hours. Either way it is done in a day.
How do you know what a platform can hold?
Each platform design, 110kg, 225kg and 450kg, has been engineered to the exact millimetre and kilonewton by our team of engineers, and each is built to hold well above its stated load for added safety.
Is a platform certified?
[HOLD FOR ANNA SIGN OFF] There are clear guidelines for temporary pool fencing and gates, but these do not currently extend to platforms, so whether one is accepted comes down to the individual pool inspector. What we can tell you is that our platforms are safe and secure.
